New vehicles (those never titled and with fewer than 5,000 miles), diesels, vehicles older than model year 1975, trucks over 9,000 pounds GVW, and vehicles driven fewer than 5,000 miles in the previous year are exempt from emissions inspections. Motorcycles, classic cars, street rods, collectible vehicles, and antique historic cars are excluded from emissions inspections. Antique historic cars are also exempt from safety inspections. |
